Freezer Fish with Mushroom Bulgar Pilaf

We’ve got crapy frozen fish ‘steaks’ (no idea how they can be called that – they look like reconstituted fish ends…) in the freezer that need using up, so I’m going to shove them in parcels with butter, flat leaf parsley, and capers, and bake them at 180C fan for 20mins.

To go with it I’m doing a mushroom bulgar wheat pilaf, roughly based on these two recipes.

So I fry up onions and stuff.

Then add mushrooms and stuff.

Then bulgar wheat and stock.

20 minutes later everything is cooked!

Once more today: mmm! The fish… well meh cheap fish. The pilaf however with both dried and fresh mushrooms was great! Will do again.
