Dinner today is from The Kitchen Overlord’s Illustrated Geek Cookbook.

Specifically it’s a Star Trek themed meal featuring:

• Roast Tribbles (p27)
  • Oven baked meatballs with a shredded coconut & cornflake coating

• Klingon Gagh
  • Tagliatelle, made with my rye sourdough
• Blood Wine Sauce
  • Tomato and wine sauce

So yeah: it’s spaghetti and meatballs. But as a geek I’m enjoying this culinary cosplay!

So tribbles are dressed.

Soph’s makes ‘blood wine sauce’.

 Rye sourdough gagh is made.

Tribbles have been cooked.

Gagh and blood wine sauce are mixed.

And there we have it: Star Trek dinner!

The tribbles were a little dry, maybe a panade would have helped. Thankfully the blood wine sauce made up for any dryness, so it all worked out!
