When life gives you lemons, make lemon curd. When you have too much lemon curd… how about a lemon bakewell?
We’re basing the bakewell part of things on The Grauniad’s Bake the Perfect recipe, and the lemon part from BBC Good Food.
Mmm… What can we say? It’s a lemon curd bakewell! Nom nom nom! Plus we’re very self-impressed by the really short base – no soggy bottoms here!
Sounds even better than the traditional Bakewell tart. Will use lemon curd next time I make one.
