Like most of the country we decided to have a barbecue yesterday while the weather was good.
We had a new bag of charcoal, and inside it were not just coals but three lighting bags full of coals. And it worked really well, just light the bag and up it goes, then 20 minutes later you spread out the coals, then 10 minutes later when the flames have died down it’s ready to go.
All very impressive… but it does take some of the fun out of building your own fire.
Anyway we did chicken in a jerk sauce, prawns in lime and piri piri, and some veg.
We served with a mango and avocado salsa and salad. All very nice for a summer’s day.
