Spicy Pumpkin Seeds

With Halloween coming up, and a pumpkin being carved, there are seeds to be used up! So why not a healthy spicy snack?

I found someone who’d tested good ways to toast them up, so I’m following this: http://www.themanlyhousekeeper.com/2011/10/26/tested-the-best-way-to-roast-pumpkin-seeds/

So they get boiled in water and salt to start with.

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp smoky chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Then it’s onto a plate to cool.

Well not all of them cooled! And those ones were really spicy – nom!
