So… fig rolls again… but without the oven temperature issues!
I always forget how faffy these are! Starting with making filling, marzipan and pastry.
Then assembling into layered rolls.
Then cutting up and stamping ready to cook.
But it’s all worth it when they cook like this! Making sure the oven thermometer was used correctly, and then cooking for 10mins, swap, 10mins, check, extra 5mins worked great.
Very professional looking.
